Green Lake - Whistler
The Resort Municipality of Whistler Trails Crew has been working through the very challenging Green Lake section of the Sea to Sky Trail this summer. Laying out a moderate grade accessible trail through cliffs, rock, steep grades and side hills can be a challenge, but the crew has done it, and expect to be roughed in by the end of this construction season. Gravel will be laid and construction completed in the summer of 2012.
Along with the Spring Creek to Function section completed earlier this year, this piece will complete the Trail right through Whistler from Brandywine Falls to its northern boundary.
The new line opens up some incredible views:

Bench cut trail, utilizing the natural contours, makes for a gorgeous line:
This section opens up a lot of terrain not easily accessed in the past, and is sure to become a must-ride piece of the Sea to Sky Trail.
